Cosmic Zack is an obscure progressive / fusion release from Germany circa 1977. Typical of many private releases from late 70's Deutschland, Déjà Vu attempt a Novalis style of progressive rock. The primary instrument is electric guitar and is accompanied by electric piano, sax, flute, bass and drums. There are also vocals with a traditional heavy Teutonic accent (some in English, some in German). Fortunately, side two eschews the vocals for a more energetic instrumental approach. Musically, the band plays a safe, straightforward and somewhat jazzy (especially side 2) progressive music with some well done guitar/sax work. File along with Credemus, Poseidon, Eden and a host of other German bands from the late 70's/early 80's.

Atmo ‎– Telegiornale (1971, LP, Italy)

Top Rare and very hard to find Italian Library on the infamous Octopus label by maestro Amedeo Tommasi under his alias "Atmo". Very obscure record with dark and spooky sounds scoring themes for films and television. Catching and heavy Jazz grooves switching between Atonal Psych, Avant-garde cues and TV Score themes like this LP was intented to be (Telegiornale = news). One of the deepest Tommasi's jam with threatening Jazzy drums, Free Jazz arrangements played by a obscure line-up, Avant-garde/Experimental compositions / Moody Jazz themes / disturbing and tense atmospheres. Enoy the long clip: https://soundcloud.com/armagideon-times/amedeo-tommasi-telegiornale-1971-rare-italian-dark-jazz-avant-library

Side A opens with the catching Jazz groove of "ULTIME NOTIZIE", "IL PERSONAGGIO DEL GIORNO" follows with dark Jazzy Breaks played through drums and doublebass solo. "DAL NOSTRO INVIATO SPECIALE" is another nice Jazz sample, lovely Night Club Mood music with great oddtempo Jazzy drumming and central Tommasi's Piano notes. "EPISODIO DI CRONACA" gives the spooky Jazz drums and contrabass solo again, "CRISI POLITICA" dramatic Giallo instrumentation. On the other side we find the insane Fuzz Electronics of "COLPO DI STATO", Drama mood and Atonal Psychedelic beat. Minimal/Avant-garde compositions in "LUTTO NAZIONALE", "TENSIONE INTERNAZIONALE" and the impressive "PROBLEMA ECOLOGICO". "AVVENIMENTO DRAMMATICO" is Egisto Macchi inspired jam with dramatic chorus and sophisticated Drama Avant-garde. "AVVENIMENTO SPORTIVO" Minimal Free Jazz vibes. "RIPRESA ESTERNA" breaks the side with a nice Lounge Jazz theme. Great and complex album, very Rare Italian Library LP! (popsike)

Franco Falsini ‎– Cold Nose (Naso Freddo) (1975, LP, Italy)

Tracklist
A1. Parte 1  (10:23)
A2. Parte 2  (6:55)
B. Parte 3  (20:57)

Soundtrack for the short movie « Cold Nose » (Naso Freddo) directed by Filippo Milani

A truly superb album that flows along with supreme ease but isn't necessarily ambient. Falsini's busy and dynamic use of electronics and guitar is impeccably tasteful and never too complicated. He utilizes the Fripp & Eno/Heldon aesthetic to create an LP that's just as worthy as the other artists' best efforts. Some of the guitar work sounds very much like it could fit in on a 4AD label release over a decade later. (bopdd)

Tony Iglio ‎– Drugstore (1971, LP, Italy)

Tony Iglio, born in 1932, has been one of the most popular orchestral arrangers of RAI (Italian National Television) and has composed over 1500 songs. Son of art, over the years he has played with and for the most important figures of the last century in Italy. "Drugstore" was recorded in 1971 in a small theatre in Napoli by a combo of professional musicians and is rated the weirdest and most insane Italian library of the early 70’s mixing jazz, psychedelia, effects and purcussions.
