Costa Blanca produced one of the rarest Spanish Fusion albums ever, ''Viaje a prantia'' flirts with 5,000 bucks at selling spots on the net. A quartet from Alicante, playing an interesting Jazz Fusion with progressive touches, having composed five long instrumental compositions with loads of sax and edgy guitar plays, surrounded by a flawless rhythm section. The most frenetic moments remind me also of Kraut Fusion of the 70's, like on the very good ''El barón de Fimestrad''. But the next track ''El caminito que no mola'' contains 10 minutes of drum soloing, spoiling the album's consistency. The band used a helping keyboardist on lives, Pepe Dougan, who later became a full-time member, but sessions from this period have yet to be discovered. (app79)
