Dutch experimental jazz fusion quintet formed September 1971. Banten made just one album in 1972, a very wide-ranging one, from free-jazz avant-garde to complex jazz fusion, including classical themes and a Thelonious Monk cover. All the musicians became better-known later, not least Henny Vonk in The Chris Hinze Combination. Members: Arnold Dooyeweerd, Ernst Reijseger, Henny Vonk, Jurre Haanstra, Rob van den Broeck.
